Smallblock Ford 289 unit on Cobra replica intake manifold
Smallblock Chevrolet 4x48IDA unit is pictured here in an optional 2-stage finish that colors the carburetors in a color that looks like the finish on a Holley carrburetor. Built for Dennis Proud, California. Height of the SBC unit is 12-3/16" (add 3/4" for filters). I now also offer a combination throttle and 200-700R trans kickdown cable bracket setup for this smallblock Chevrolet unit.
This 1965-style replica COBRA-lettered intake system comes with the COBRA-lettered front water manifold and pre-cut connecting hoses. This manifold uses a unique center-shaft linkage system for compatibility with the original Cobra factory foot pedal linkage. Replica owners may order optional foot pedal linkage kit that is an exact copy of the original linkage from the footbox to carburetors. Height is 10-3/4" (add 3/4" for filters).
Shown as shipped, with optional 10-degee angle cut. Also note that pressure gauges are now stainless (early photo).
Base Smallblock Ford
The photos on this site are shots of some of the units built here. I've tried to include at least one image for each type of unit, and as many photos as possible of the various options. They by no means represent everything available.

Each assembly reflects a painstaking approach to each detail. Every carburetor has been completely disassembled, prepared, and internally tailored to order. Some of the customized systems take two days to build. No shortcuts are ever taken.

Every one is shipped from here 100% complete and ready to start, with nothing else to buy. Each unit includes a set of stainless intake bolts, a FelPro intake set, a Synchrometer, low-pressure fuel regulator with the required fittings, a complete braided s.s. aircraft-quality fuel harness, a liquid-filled stainless pressure gauge, and a nicely-photographed, simple-to-follow, 9-page color instruction manual that guides you through the entire installation and setup procedure. I wrote this manual specifically for anyone who has never done this before. If you can read and follow instructions, you will find it very simple.

      Classic Weber Independent-runner 8-stack V8 systems
Smallblock Chevrolet
All base DCOE crossram systems feature a cast-finish manifold and cast finish 45mm carburetors, and come to you fully assembled, exactly as you see above. Custom versions are shown on the gallery page, and larger carburetors are certainly an available option.

Mesh Filters
Rubber retaining ring is permanently molded to layered screens that filter particles to twice the thickness of a human hair (about nine one-thousandths of an inch). These have a positive locating groove in the rubber. The next best thing to a real filter.
The red protective covers are great for open stacks when you leave your hood up at car shows, or when you store your car. A popular item for car shows because they're decorative and look great. These have been around since the 60's...and now they're back.

Please call to place your order by telephone. At that time, a 50% deposit is taken on the major credit card of your choice. The balance will be automatically charged to the same credit card (unless you specify otherwise) when the unit is assembled. PLEASE NOTE THAT NO CHECKS ARE ACCEPTED. Credit card, money orders, or money wires only.
Crossrams: The most exotic of all Weber carburetion systems
The crossram comes standard with 45DCOE carburetors for maximum streetability. The Chevy system is 11" tall to the top of the fuel pressure gauge as you see it here. If the pressure gauge is relocated, the unit is only 9-3/4" tall, so it does not require much hood clearance (the SBC 48IDA downdraft system is 12-3/16" tall).
Buick "Nailhead"
Debris Screens
These domed-style debris screens are made of stainless steel, and they look great. They don't disturb the look of the "open" stacks, and for the protection and peace of mind they provide, they should be on EVERY carburetion setup. FOR 48IDA's ONLY.
I now offer a Weber system for all the Buick Nailheads, up to the 425's. I may even have a nailhead engine for sale if you call. Here's a polished setup on a 364 inch engine. These are two-piece manifolds that use a valley plate. This photo was not taken here and it's not real clear, but it gives you the idea.
Protective options
Due to a one-time (small) production run, a few people will get to own one of these Ford smallblock crossrams. They are being sold first come, first served, and unfortunately, when they're gone, the manufacturer says he has no plans to re-cast them. A deposit will secure one in your name. Height to the top of the gauge is 10-1/2".

Top-mounted bellcranks are easily adaptable to a variety of applications. Here's a Ford crossram; it can be pulled rearward or forward, depending how the bellcrank is mounted. This one is set-up for early Mustangs with a rod from the firewall arm. A bracket can also be fixed to hold a cable.

Vacuum kits
Three types of vacuum kits will take care of just about any needs. The first is the 8-port "exposed" vacuum kit at the far left. In the middle is a two-port kit which is usually all that's needed for power brakes, as long as your check valve is good. The third is a hidden 8-port kit, where all you see is a single fitting at the rear of the manifold. Some manifolds cannot be done like this, but the smallblock Ford downdrafts and some of the smallblock Chevy downdrafts can.

This site is updated constantly. If you've been here before and want to make sure you see any new changes, you may have to update your PC browser by holding CONTROL + F5 to get rid of your past visiting history of this site and assure that you're seeing the latest version. Do this on ANY PAGE you're revisiting...or you might not be able to see the newest changes. This is because browsers store these familiar wab pages as files and have a habit of bringing up the old one, over and over. That's your computer lesson for today....hope it helps!

The 351 Cleveland is shown here in a simulated gold dichromate flat finish with vintage style black fuel lines. It's an all-business look that goes just one step beyond the "out of the box" finish...different, but not flashy. Built for Kid Van Ouytsel, Belgium.

(CLICK HERE to see the cable linkage option)
The 351 Cleveland units can have the bellcrank in the center location, as shown, and made to pull forward for Panteras. It can also be ordered with a side-mounted linkage, if preferred.
The 351W is a bit wider than the 289-302, so it's easy to mount the bellcrank in the center on a post. This manifold can also be ordered with a side-mounted linkage.

Velocity stacks
This is a new section, so all the photos are not yet completed, but here's a look at the 2-1/2" spun aluminum stacks, an option that some customers like instead of chrome steel stacks. There is no difference in price; the choice is up to you.

Spun stacks are available for all IDF and IDA downdraft carburetors. They are available in short 1-1/2", standard height as shown, and also 5" and 6-1/2".

Stock 327 Corvette engine shows clearance under the carburetors of 9/16". Another 1/4" can be gained with special fuel bowl bottom plates if more space is required for slightly taller valve covers.
