Anyone in business will tell you that their business is the best in the industry, which means nothing when the comment comes from the business itself. In the end, a company's reputation is what will speak the loudest, and reputation isn't something that can be faked.

I got the carbs balanced and the car is now running. I also want to say that you had the mixture screws dialed in exactly. While I tweaked them both up and down, either way hurt, so they ended up exactly where you had them set.
There was no hesitation thru the transition circuits, no popping in the exhaust, the car just wanted to run.
All in all, while this upgrade was labor intensive, it was one of the cleaner installs I've done. Everything fit, everything worked, and I'm sure the carb linkage would have been spot on, if I hadn't removed the carbs from the intake to facilitate the install.
In any case, I'm glad I went with you on this setup as it's been a pleasure working with both the kit and with you.

In 1982 you built a set of weber 48's (with 30 chokes and special jets) for my Ardun engine on my home built manifold. The first set of jets didn't work well but you created a new set that worked fine. I always appreciated the personal service you gave me. I think you might be interested that after 40 years on the road (67,000 miles and 48 states) your setup is still going! Looking back I made the right decision on buying one of your systems.

After 2 -3 years of running the original calibration, I got fed up with very rich idle and popping and burping going from the idle to the main circuit and called you up to order the "street" chokes, jets , correctors emulsion tubes, etc. It took me all of 45 minutes to change out the chokes, jets, emulsion tubes, air correctors, etc and the after syncing all four carb/8 throats, the car ran beautifully and still does.

Thanks for all your advice. I ran my Lotus at Blackhawk Farm Raceway on Sunday. I ran my personal best with a 1:25.218, two seconds faster than my previous best. Here are a few photos of my 23 T roadster with a Chevy 383 stroker and 4x48-IDA Webers. I built in 1981 and still own today. Without the expertise of Jim Inglese it would not be functional today. I sent the Weber carbs and manifold to him along with the specs, and he re-jetted the carbs for me. When the carbs were returned to me all I had to do is bolt them back on drop in the distributor and set the timing. I have never touched them since. The response on these Webers is immediate and I couldn't be happier! This guy is a Weber God!

I know we have talked a few times but I wanted to pass my success with the 8 stack system built for me.
Jim I am generally not one to sing the praises of any particular product, But the weber system is just that good. The 347 stroker in the Daytona when I bought it was great but no low end torque, by switching carburation to webers has lit up this engine. I now have torque from just off idle all the way up to 6500 it’s a completely different motor and a car that’s now much more fun to drive.

You did a fantastic job on the build, matching to my engine specs, and the car runs better than I could ever have imagined. I can’t believe how fast the engine response is when I rev it up a little. We made it to the first car show with it. Lots of attention!! And a lot of comments on tuning the webers. I read the writeup you had on your website before I went and was able to give a little more info to the guys asking. Especially about having a correct tune makes them wonderful. Two guys in particular were extremely impressed with the starting and throttle response since you tuned these based on engine and location values we provided. I'm sure this is old hat to you, but very impressive. They couldn't get over how easy it started and ran.
I am blown away at how the setup doesn't seem to be affected by temperature or humidity like my old 4 barrels were. Thank you thank you thank you!!
Other than that, I've missed that sound they produce and can't get over the different power bands they have. Seems like the further you push the more they love to open up. :) I feel like Tim the Tool Man when you rev the engine.

Hey Jim,
I was able to finish (mostly) the tuning procedure today. That car drives great now! Like you mentioned, just the drivability has improved dramatically… she starts and idles perfectly when cold (for California), idles much smoother than before when warm, and the throttle response is wicked. Absolutely instant. I’m definitely going to need some stickier tires!

Installed your parts in the carbs set to your recommendations. I especially like the consistent torque values throughout the entire RPM range. I am sure this is due to the Crower Cam specs that you recommended to me.
You were also spot on with all of the parts you sent me for my 48 IDA Weber set up, with the correct jets, holders, emulsion tubes, main jets, air correctors and accelerator pumps.
This thing started right up with very little adjustments. Thank you!! Jim, you are the Boar Hog when it comes to setting up Weber’s!!

I warmed up the car, swapped the Idle jet holders. Resynched the carbs (didn’t really need it, but wanted to be as perfect as possible), reset the idle screws (which took quite a bit to get just right, adjust and just again, double checking everything) and took it for a test drive.
WOW. Smooth as silk, no hesitation, not ‘bobble’, just smooth responsive power. I can’t tell you how it has transformed the way the car drives. Instead of me being hyper focused on throttle control to minimize poor behavior, it just purrs. I even tried to get it to misbehave, low revs high gears low speed, perfect. Pulls smooth from idle, no issues. I haven’t opened it up yet to really try out the transition, but feel confident it will be fine.

Smells a bit rich in garage but hey, this is a hot motor with a big cam and heads.
